Once my husband’s speaker arrived, we decided to test out the stacking feature. After a bit of trial and error to get it working, we were blown away! It felt like we were experiencing spatial audio, especially when you sit right in the sweet spot between the two speakers. He got so excited that he ordered two more Emberton II’s so we could both enjoy stacking.
The only bummer is that it doesn’t stack in stereo. So, you miss out on that cool interplay that stereo recordings usually offer.
To stack them, you only need to connect one speaker to your device via Bluetooth. Then, follow the button-pressing instructions to connect the second speaker without linking it to the same device. They’ll pair up with each other independently while the main one stays connected to your phone or whatever you’re using.
And get this—they’re surprisingly loud!
Now, the Marshall app’s EQ controls aren’t anything to write home about, but you can squeeze out a bit more bass if you fiddle with it.
Overall, I’m really pleased with the Emberton II! I don’t have enough experience yet to comment on the battery life, but so far, it’s been a great addition to our audio setup!
